How flowers improve mental health

I am a huge fan of flowers! I notice them everywhere I go, walking, shopping, parking lots, waiting rooms, doctor’s offices, homes, schools, offices, you name it ! Roses, geraniums, lilies, jasmine, lantana, marigolds and so many more. There are pink, yellow, blue, orange , white, pastels, red, purple and combination of various colored flowers ! Each encounter reminds me to stop and admire their individual beauty. No two roses look alike ! So I started wondering if their is any health benefit to my obsession to jump with joy at every encounter with flowers and I wasn’t disappointed with the results!
